- Children of Chibi Chan and JCYC staff and affiliates
- Siblings of current or past students
- Families who have participated in JCYC programs
- Families affiliated with Rose Court and Booker T Washington Community Service Center (BTWCSC)
- Teachers, non-profit employees, and single-parent families
Waitlist Guidelines:
- Joining the Waitlist:
- A child may be placed on the waitlist only after submitting a completed Enrollment Application Form, a signed acknowledgment of Admission Procedures & Waitlist Policies, and a $100 non-refundable application fee (check payable to “JCYC” or cash) to the Site Director.
- Waitlist positions are not transferable between children.
- Admission Offers:
- If an offer of admission is declined, the application may remain on the waitlist for future openings.
- After declining two offers, the child will be removed from the waitlist, requiring a new application and deposit for re-enrollment eligibility.
- No Guaranteed Placement:
- Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot in the preschool.
- The Director will notify families if and when a space becomes available.
- Notification Process:
- The Director will attempt to contact families between January and February of the intended school year (for Fall enrollment).
- If there is no response after two attempts, the application will be removed from the waitlist.
- Acceptance Process:
- Accepted families will receive a confirmation call and letter, along with an enrollment packet.
- Securing Enrollment Before Age 2:
- If a child is accepted but does not turn 2 years old by the first day of school, parents must pay full tuition for the months before the child turns 2 to secure the spot.
- Example: If a child turns 2 on October 31st, tuition for August (partial), September, and October must be paid.
- Payment flexibility may be available based on financial needs; please consult the Director.
- Extended Waitlist Option:
- If a spot is unavailable due to a long waitlist, families may choose to remain on the waitlist for future consideration.
